Thryve AI was founded by two former athletes who experienced firsthand the challenges of navigating an increasingly complex sports landscape.

Long before NIL transformed college athletics and athletes became independent brands, Will Hubbard and David Houser recognized a fundamental problem: while the opportunities available to athletes continued to grow, the infrastructure supporting them had not evolved at the same pace.

Will Hubbard, a former collegiate baseball player and Georgetown University graduate, spent years working alongside athletes and families during the rise of NIL. Through his experience in athlete representation, recruiting, and athlete development, he witnessed talented athletes making life-changing decisions without access to the guidance, resources, or support systems needed to navigate an increasingly dynamic environment.

David Houser, a former University of Tennessee baseball player and college baseball coach, built his career helping athletes reach the next stage of their development. His work at IMG Academy provided a unique perspective into the athlete journey, where he worked closely with student-athletes, families, coaches, and organizations to create pathways for long-term success. Time and time again, he saw athletes facing pivotal moments in their careers while lacking a centralized support system to help them make informed decisions.

Although their paths were different, their observations were remarkably similar.

As the athlete economy continued to evolve, athletes found themselves managing more opportunities, decisions, and responsibilities than ever before. Despite this shift, the ecosystem supporting them remained highly fragmented, leaving many without a clear framework to navigate their path effectively. What should have been a connected experience often existed across disconnected tools, services, relationships, and resources.

Recognizing this gap, Hubbard and Houser saw an opportunity to build something different.

They envisioned a platform designed to help athletes better navigate their journey by creating a more connected experience—one that brings together the knowledge, resources, and opportunities athletes need to make confident decisions throughout every stage of their development.

The result is Thryve AI.

Built by individuals who have lived the athlete experience, Thryve AI was created with a simple belief: athletes deserve better infrastructure. The company exists to help athletes navigate an ever-changing landscape, access meaningful opportunities, and build a stronger foundation for success both during and beyond competition.
